We’re no experten, but to us the newest 1/24 Airfix kit looks amazing, and it should be great fun to paint. We’ll help out with some downloadable designs to mask the Luftwaffe insignia, vertical tail markings, and fuselage bands in two different widths.
For the first time, Airfix has included their own paint masks for the canopy parts and spinner spirals. They look great; no need to resupply those. But they provide only exterior masks for the canopy so we’ve added a set for the inside if you plan to pose yours open. We’ve added masks designs for the clear gunsight parts, wing, radiator screens and oil cooler screens as well.
Airfix gives you a tail wheel mask but we’ve provided a modified design that includes the center hole if you would like to paint it assembled. . We’ve added masks for the main wheels as well.
We’ve designed replacement paint masks for the three Luftwaffe markings included in the kit. The masks can also be used to mask the basic Luftwaffe markings (just keep the aircraft numbers masked) for whatever airframe you wish to model. Kind like an Essential mask set and a Comprhensive set all in one.
Use kit or aftermarket decals for individual markings and stencils.
