This set is an addendum to our Mk.VIII/IX Essential Mask set. The Essential set provides masks for the fin flash, wing insignia, clear parts, wheels, prop tips, radiator faces, and European theater ID markings.
43 Squadron RAF flew Spitfire VIIIs and IXs in Italy and Southern France. This download features mask designs to paint MT 714, coded FT-F, flown by Flt/Lt A.W. Guest out of Ramtuelle, France, in August of 1944.
The design features masks for the fuselage codes, insignias, and serial numbesr. Pictures of the other 43 Sqn aircraft show the FT forward the insignia on the starboard side. We couldn’t find an image of MT 714 to verify, so we’ve included two masking options, one with the FT forward, one behind. Just in case…
