1/48 Spitfire I/V RAF Type B Camouflage Masks for Eduard
This download provides designs to cut RAF Type B camouflage masks for all the Eduard early Spitfire releases: Mk. I, II, Vb, and Vc.
The accepted wisdom is Spitfires with even serial numbers were painted in the B scheme, which is a mirror image of the A scheme. We’ve got a download for the A scheme if you’re doing an aircraft with an odd serial number. Later in the production the B scheme was dropped, so check your photo references to be sure.
Masks are provided for both colors so you can paint the schemes in any order you like. You can also paint them with a feathered edge by painting one color with the hard-edged masks, then filling in the unpainted areas freehand.
The download includes one 7 X 9.5 inch (203.2 x 304.8mm) .svg file, a .dxf copy for Silhouette, and a PDF placement guide.
