1/48 Natural Metal P-40N Addendum Masks for the Eduard kit
Use this addendum with our P-40N Essential Masks to dress up your unpainted P-40N. The download features designs to mask the markings of 4 popular NMF P-40Ns: 34, 45, and 69 from the 9th FS, 49 FG, and Gerry Johnson’s 7 from the 7th FS. Pictures show 7 was also numbered 29, so we’ve included both numbers in the design.
The files include designs to mask the spinner stripes and plane numbers for all the included aircraft. It also includes all national insignia for Johnson’s 7; pictures depict borderless stars with bordered chevrons added. The 9th squadron masks include fins stripes, white tails and serial numbers for 34. Note there is no border around the star.
Also included are masks for the exhaust panel and for three unique antiglare panels on the noses. Of the four included examples, two appear to have been delivered unpainted with a standard antiglare, while 7 and 34 were apparently stripped of their camouflage in the field, resulting in unique demarcations.
Our Essential Mask set provides standard national insignia, prop tips, wheels, and a bunch of other useful stuff. Use kit or aftermarket decals for stencils, Johnson’s personal markings, and the nose art for 69, which is provided on the Eduard decal sheet.
Download includes two 180× 240mm (approximately 7 × 9.5 inches) svg files for Cricut, dxf copies for Silhouette, and a PDF Placement Guide.
